Product review : Zoom Groom

This month product review is the
Zoom Groom. Ever tried it?
I went to my favourite dog groomer
last week, with Skye, my Golden
Retriever puppy. It was her first
visit to the groomer!
First, she did not want to get in,
it was pretty funny. But with a little
help, everything went perfectly fine
(my groomer knows her stuff!).
I told her I bought a brush to comb
my puppy, but she told me it would be
better to get a Zoom Groom. She had
one so she showed me what it looked
like, and I have to say it makes
perfect sense to use that instead
of a brush.
This tool is made of rubber, and
it removes hair as well as dead
skin. And to top it all, it gives
a massage to your dog. And I can
assure you they enjoy it!
Much more gentle then the normal brush.
For everyone who has a hard time combing
their puppy, I recommend trying this
tool instead.

QUESTION 1
Can boxers stay at home for seven to
eight hours a day?
ANSWER
In general, the boxer is an easy dog
to take care of. It will do well in an
apartment, as long as you take him for
a walk a few times a week.
Personally, I think each dog is different,
not just each breed, but each dog as well.
If you teach them to stay alone and they
react well, you will have no problem to
leave it at home while you go to work
everyday. But some dog will have bad
reaction to being left alone. You will
find that out pretty quickly. If this
happens, the best thing is to have
someone visit in the middle of the day.

QUESTION 2
What is the best way to potty train a
6 week old puppy?
ANSWER
Ok, this is a question that can't
really be answered in one newsletter.
What you need for sure is patience, love,
and consistency. By repeating the same
schedule everyday, you will make it easier
on your dog. A routine is the way to go!

spelling the name of the puppy correct
can you please give me the correct name for
this type of puppy and where to get one?
ANSWER
I know, this one is hard to spell! You probably
meant the Pomeranian. You can find the breed
standards at this address :
http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/pomer.cfm
I cannot really tell you where to get one,
because I don't know where you live. The
best thing to do is to cal a few breeders
in your area and give them a call to compare
availability, prices, etc...
The easiest way to find a breeder ?
Go to http://www.google.com
and type "pomeranian breeder + name of your city
You should get a good local listing.
